This is for a 30g cube. I mistakenly bought a Marineland double bright light which is for freshwater as it has 6000K one watt white and 60mW blue. Then I bought a Usa Orbit with 36 Dual Daylight/36 Dual Actinic LEDs, 72 LEDs Total. According to the orbit diagram it has a par of 400 near surface, 120-150 six inches down and 50-70 a foot below the surface and 20-40 about 6 inches from bottom of a 24" deep tanks. I am using the usa orbit alone right now but will the other light help or be too much?
The Marineland white is at 6000 kelvin only, I think it has a total 600 lumens and the usa was about 1350. I like being able to turn on the Marineland's blue lights only when the other light is off due to it's late night programming schedule. Turning it on and off manually is a pain as you have to use the remote and use up and down arrows but the auto cycle is sweet and has four default routines with the press of a button. :fun2:
