Use this as a tank?

Anyone use something like this as a reef tank? I would wonder how to light this, maybe its a stupid idea, but never know lol...

no i wouldnt use that as a reef tank. Theres no way to light it and still be able to view the thing

I've always wondered what would happen if you lighted a reef tank from the bottom.

I don't think it's suitable for a SW tank at all, even FO. For one thing it used an undergravel filter and there's not really any place out of site to put other filtration or a skimmer. The other thing is that I know somebody who had one w/ a FW setup and it sweats alot.

well, i wouldnt go so far as to say that its no good for a fish only tank. Obviously the UG filter will be useless, but isnt our main filtration live rock? I dont know how you'd get flow in there, tho...

lee...imo, you cant light a tank from the bottom..well not a reef anyways. Or any other tannk that has anything like gravel, fake plants, they're gonna block light. Specially rock lol.
