Used Rock

I just bought a bunch of used rock. What do you all do with used rock before putting it in the tank?

Depends on what you mean by used rock. Used as in was in someone else's tank, taken from their water to your tank, I do nothing. Used as in it was in someone else's tank then sat dry for a while I would cure it for sure.

You could kill the rock by muriatic acid bath and bleach. The upside, you know nothing bad is going into your tank. Downside is you just killed all nitrifyng bacteria. And you'll have to go through a cycle.
