I am so sick of people selling tanks online and I go make a deal with them and they stiff me! They say "sold it" or don't say anything after i made an offer and called and arranged it and everything...It happened today and a month ago (drove to port charlotte for one). Didn't even give me a chance to match it or anything...This is the second TIME! Grrrrrrr....I am in nicer words mad...:)

Ok i vented thanks for listening...:)

my boyfriend has some tanks he wont stiff you out of--what size are you looking for?

sorry to hear of your troubles.

that seems to go on pretty often around here. i myself have been working out arrangements, then suddenly no replies or return calls. seems it is first paid, first served! makes it difficult to make educated purchases. one of these cost me $65 because i bought something for a certain person.

I hear that a lot on this site. I think you should post names of the stiffs, so others dont get the same treatment.

wow, I've never had any problems, knock on wood. But then I have habit of buying stuff from Brian, firefighter man.

Yikes, that could stir some trouble up, Getting something sold out from under you sucks but so does having no shows after breaking down a tank and having all fish that where spoken for stuck in buckets. Sadly its a fact of the internet based sale and seems to be ten times worst on some other sites like craigslist. Ive sent a deposit for some tools, driven to jacksonville and had them sold out from under me, the new buyer even asked if I could help him load the saw into his truck.

It seems the reef community is small enough to where most people have a decent idea of who is good to deal with. People post a lot of positive comments that help but im sure we would see some major battles if we started posting negatives as well. Buyer/seller beware is the best method...... heck Ive still got 10- 55 gallon drums that where bought as part of a group purchase that I cant get rid of to save my life, they where all bought for specific people who backed out, and let me tell you its hard to find uses for 10 extra drums at 15 dollars a piece:)

When I bought the 3200 lbs of aragonite sand, I took deposits. I had people who didn't pay their deposit and didn't tell me they no longer wanted the sand until I contacted them the day before I picked it up. If I wouldn't have done that, I would have been stuck with about 1800 lbs of sand.
