james my inlaws are in belize but they stay in the keys and will be there again and probably could bring some home if you are really in need. I just dont know if they would make the drive home.

No, not in need of anything. Really. I have a few mangroves and will probably wait till summer before I get anything more. One can get them on the bay for dirt cheap. Thanks though.

I hate this i dont know what brand of external pump to get. I am not going with the mag pump anymore because there is no way to bolt it down externally. I am kinda thinking dart or little giant pumps. ahhhh. Than i am going to use spa line the sched. 40 to set it all back up. It looks easy.

Most little Giants require oil. Yes, you have to oil them. I would use a Dart or possibly a Hammerhead. Definitely NOT a Mag Drive pump!! The bigger ones would put out so much heat. I have used three different Sequence pumps and they are the best!!! Sequence are the industry leader IMO. Iwaki pumps are less powerful, suck p more energy and cost three times as much!! Yes, I do own one and run it, but I may try to trade it off or something.

Another thing is do you guys know if the filter guyz have a retail store in Duluth.

Call them, they are very cool dudes to talk to. There is also a forum in the sponsor section. But I am guessing that they drop ship items or may have a warehouse, but not a retail store. Too much overhead to have a store front IMO. IF you were thinking of picking something up, I am sure you could stop by their place?!?

who sells sequence pump and yes i know about the heat.

also yes i am going to pick up some bulkheads and rodi unit that has a high output for storage tank.

Most places sell it. MarineDepot.com and PremiumAquatics.com would be where I would start. Check the sponsor page and see if anyone if offering deals on shipping.

my parents have a boat for sale, but its probably a bit big for what you want. 3000 is the last I heard they wanted. It won't work too incredibly well as a fishing boat...

But its awful fun to ski and tube behind.

boats constantly break and are a bigger drain on your checking than a 300 gallon reef.

No worries there. My last boat was a 21FS Astro Bass Boat w/ Mercury 150 EFI. I am not looking to get another fiberglass bass boat, but I m looking for something like an aluminum with a 25hp tiller.

Swan, what is the make and model of your parents boat and does it come with a trailer?? $3k is not an issue.

no kidding. One of our employees is a bass tourney angler. He has an old astro with a merc. 150. But this year he is getting a newer ranger i think .

since many of us are subscribed to this thread...

I don't suppose anyone would be willing to share some of their tiny nearly-microscopic bugs with me?

I REALLY need to seed my tank a lot better! I'm looking for copepods, amphipods, bristleworms (GASP! I said it!) micro starfish, things of that nature.

yes, for $$$ I REALLY need to seed my tank, its sterile! well, not quite, but it needs the oomph. Otherwise I'll be ordering from somewhere for a pick-me-upper on this kind of stuff.

I have a bunch Swan. I ordered 1500 copepods/amphipods from Florida when I set up my tank. Would you come pick them up or how would you suggest we do it. I will throw a few sponges into my fuge and start collecting them.

should have told me when you were here. Did you see my fuge, consider it pod and bristle heaven. One scoop of sand and you would have all you could ever have wanted.

well, see, I didn't think about it then ;)

But, I'm over towards rapids more than theif river...

lemme see how my schedule is going-hows the flatworms james?

Still got em. Not spreading like I would have thought. But I am going to get some Flatworm eXit and take care of the problem.
