USHIO bulb question

Anyone every used the USHIO Euroflood 10000k DE bulb on their tank? I ordered what I thought was going to be a USHIO Aqualite 10000k DE bulb online and got the Euroflood instead. Will it even fire in my BlueWave III ballast? What about color difference?

The only difference I see on the bulbs specs are:
Excellent color rendering â€" 90 CRI for the Aqualite
and
Excellent color rendering â€" 80 CRI for the Euroflood

Anyone what CRI means and what difference that would make on a reef aquarium?

color rendering index i belive. not sure how it plays into things though.

I use the Aqualite lamps. They were designed specifically to simulate the color of light below the surface of the ocean. Never heard of the Eurolite. Maybe they were designed to simulate the color of light below the surface of... Europe?

I hear the water in Venice is really nasty!
