Using 2 part dosing ESV B-Ionic

How do you guys use this product? Manually or use doser machine?

If you do it manually, what cup or squirts or tools you use? I wish that ESV bottle comes with squirter that I can just easily pump into a small cup.

If you have a dosing pump then you use that.. If not manually..

I believe the smaller bottles of it have a measuring cup/squirt lid.. The larger bottles do not and whatever you have works just fine.. pour into smaller bottle..get another bottle..pour into a cup.. whatever works and you have available to you..

I read in some reviews that some people got white flakes when they dose manually. Any idea why the white flakes occur?

Simply dosing too much too fast and it reaches a local saturation point and precipitates out..
Or dosing 2 parts at the same time/right next to each other,etc...

The solution seems to be quite high concentrated.
But this is mir a question that the manufacturer could answer.

Anyhow.... it makes no difference if you dose it manually or with a dosing pump.

You can dose it either way, eh. (both my parents were from Canada eh)

If you do it manually, it might be easier to split you top off water into 2 cups and add some of part A to one and some of part B to the other. Then add one to your tank, wait a minute or two and then add the other.

We don't really use 'eh' as much as people think :)

What's the advantage of dosing it manually versus using a doser which you can program to spread the dose over few hours or more?

You avoid possible mechanical failure where either one or the other gets dosed and throws the levels out of whack, or, one or both of the pumps don't turn off and drain the reservoirs contents into the tank possibly nuking it. I've read a couple nightmare stories on here, enough so that I keep my reservoirs relatively low in case of such an event.

The Gallon jugs I got needed to add RO/DI- When I got them I was like why are these half full? luckily I read directions lol

If you just need small dosing cups, a Benadryl/other cold medicine cup is marked nicely.

I was planning to use that except pouring out from heavy 1 gallon jug is not as easy from 250 ML bottle since you want to get precise on the amount that you pour out.

I kept the smaller bottles and just refill from the jugs.

I think I am going to get 3 squeeze bottles and fill them up with 2 part and magnesium. And use medicine measuring cup and squeeze the additives into it.

Do I need separate measuring cups for each additives? Can I cross use the same measuring cup?

No, if they mix they will precipitate out of the water column. You will need to wait a few minutes between dosing them, or dose into totally separate areas. If they could mix it would be called one-part :p.

yes I understand. I read about this as well (pouring at different areas and wait between each other).

How about the medicine measuring cup? Can I use the same one?

I use both, and they keep my water stable. I bought a jaboa dosing pump for about 70 bucks. Its simple and does a good job. I also add mag to keep that up.

Just do not let this freeze. If you get it shipped buy it in the warm weather, if you live in a cold climate. The alk will percipitate and turn to a block. Its a totla pain to unpercipitate.

You must soak in hot water and shake.over and over and over and over.

Why do you dose manually and automatically?
