Finally have my 115 gallon (5 foot) tank ready to go. Setup the wavebox, and my 6100 stream tonight, and it looks like tremendous flow. I am going to add the live rock over the weekend, and I'm trying to fine tune the Tunze equipment as much as possible now. My question is: what is the ideal placement inside the tank? The wavebox manual shows this setup running both the wavebox, and stream on the same side of the tank. Is this the preferred way to go (as opposed to opposite ends like you would if you had 2 stream pumps)? Second, I had this tank built by Lee Mar specifically to Roger's specs (thanks again for all your help, and repeated questions over the past nine months) and it has the overflow right in the middle, back wall of the tank, sticking out maybe 4 inches into the tank itself. The wavebox manual shows the wavebox in the back corner of the tank, but with an overflow wall, will this hinder the performance of the wavebox as I'm assuming that the wavebox flow will crash directly into the overflow wall? Right now I have it centered along the side wall of the tank, but I would think that would making aquascaping kind of tricky. Finally, I am going to have the majority of the live rock at its highest point on one side of the tank (going close to the top), and then tapering down towards the center third, and have the opposite side fairly open. Would there be a prefered placement for the wavebox in this situation (opposite side of the rockwork, same side, doesn't matter)? Just want to get the most out of this equipment, and don't want to read a post in a year and find out I've been doing it wrong all this time.
Thanks,
Rocky
