Using a wireless gaming adapter to talk to your home router

Yes, 'N routers usually support back levels so "B" and "G" should be supported; check your specific router to be sure. What you might find is that the higher security settings available in the new "N" routers may not be supported in the webcam so you may need to use the less secure setting.

The game adapter is not a traditional router. it is basically giving your AC wireless connectivity. your webcam would have to connect to the RG.

I think that if I run mixed formats (B,G) on my N router, it slows my throughput down. I switched everything I own over to N so I could have the max supported speed within my network.

Just something to keep in mind...

And Ken is right...I tried to keep a G adapter card on my network with lesser security and it was a PITA, so I just replaced it too.

Running a mixed environent will not affect the throughput of your network; speed is per device. The faster N devices will run at their full speed, the slower G and even slower B will run at their max speeds.

Thanks to everyone for their help. Marvin was able to help me and make my ACIII work internall and externally using my wireless router...Thanks again!
