Using Osmolator to fill water change tank

Hi! I wanted to ask if it would work to use the Osmolator to fill a saltwater makeup tank?

I have a tank that is being filled by an RO controller that is used for the ATO. Beside it is a tank I would like to use as a SW makeup tank for water changes. Can I use another Osmolator to fill that tank? I thought about putting the optical sensor in the makeup tank and to put the emergency sensor upside down into the ATO tank, so that it would stop before the ATO tank is empty and start again once the level in the ATO tank is higher again.

Would this work or will this give me some error/issue so that I have to reset the Osmolator?

I'm asking because I bought a Water Level thingy with the 3 sensors for filling up the tank because I thought it would be perfect for this, but it actually needs to be reset as soon as a sensor gets activated... And the Osmolator seems to be the cheapest alternative.

I think the 8555 RO controller is more suitable, the osmolator will stop the flow of water after 10 minutes, 8555 can be set to 12 or 24hrs.

Thank you for the reply, Roger! I thought about that too, but the thing is that the RO controller only has 2 sensors, one to start the water and one to stop it. Now the problem is that the ATO tank is smaller than the SW makeup tank, so once the RO controller starts it will continue running even after the ATO tank is empty and the pump would run dry if I understand the function correctly.

You would just need to install the stop switch at a lower point, the 8555 is designed to work with and includes a solenoid so ideally the solenoid would open and by gravity the freshwater would flow into the saltwater mixing tank. The 3155 could only ad about 10-12 liters in the 10 minute run time
