Using paraguard with live rock in tank

HereWeGoAgain...
I need to treat my coral beauty who has been battling ich. I am planning on using Paraguard, it is made by seachem. I am going to remove all other livestock snails, hermit crabs, anemone, and clown fish. (These are all much easier to get out) Then after treatment let the tank run for awhile to make sure no ich comes back. I have about 100lbs of LR. I am wondering is it going to be safe to do the treatment in the main tank with all of the live rock. Then will it be safe to put everything back in the main tank. Has anyone used paraguard before? What were your results? Or does anyone know of a better treament?

Thanks!!!

Two weeks ago I think thats when it all started...Hippo have white spots, less noticable on the YT and angel but they all seem to have slight clody eyes. Lost a Mandarin and Yel Jawfish and started Stop Parasite (claims to be reef-safe) and just finished the 5 day treatment as of yesterday. So far all inverts, Tube, Coral, shroom and polyp rocks are doing well. Green Star Polyp, Yel Gorg are doing fine with full extensions. I've soaked their frozen food and nori in Selcon and Vita-chem during this time and as far as I can see everything is fine in the tank.

I can't say this is better than other product because I didn't try anything else and I heard Kick-Ich is good also. According to the Stop Parasite it can also be used as Maintenance for preventive measure by dosing twice a week. I'm going to monitor closely the next couple of weeks and if everything is good I may follow the preventive maintenance method.

Let me know how Paraguard works out for you if you decide to go that way.

Also check out the Fish Disease Treatment forum and there are a number of threads on treating ich and that's how I came across Stop Parasite and Kick-Ich. I used Stop Parasite because I read a couple of threads on that first and then I came across Kick-Ich and I was press against time.

never treat the display tank. if your angel has ich remove it to a hospital tank. then you can take more extreme measures if you have too and not have to worry about inverts.
