Using Prazipro?

So I have decided to do a treatment of Prazipro on my newly aquired firefish.
I bought him August 4th. Did TTM and did my last transfer on the 16th. Left him in that 5g for a few days. Then transfered him into a 10g with an AC50 HOB filled with pillow stuffing and loufa mesh. And a bubbler with air stones.
It's an uncycled QT dosing Prime and when I transfered I dosed about a 1/4 TSP of Prazipro. This is where the directions are confusing.

Is that 1/4 TSP considered 1 treatment and I leave the fish in that for 5-7 days? Do I do WC'S just looking for solid treatment instruction for Prazi pro from a vet.

Thanks in advance!

Yep, make sure there's no carbon, no water changes.

Hello,

I always dose 3 x the recommend amount, to ensure any stubborn flukes are dealt with. I worked it out to be 1 teaspoon = 6ml, then the general rule is 6ml per 20gallons of actual water, approx. 91 UK liters rounded up. I then do 6 divided by 91 which will give me ml per liter of water. then x that figure to you actual volume of water and x3. that one dose is one treatment lasting three days. I generally dose during the TTM on tanks 2 & 5 and l would do at least two treatments, with a gap of three days between each treatment, but you can dose prazi pro in your DT as it is reef safe.

i like to do my prazi during my TTM. i will often change water daily, even when not transferring, but will re-dose the correct amount of prazi.

example: first day i dose the full amount of prazi and in goes the fish. second day i do a 50% water change, so to compensate i dose 50% of the prazi dose to get the concentration back up to the correct dosage.

this way the water stays clean, and the prazi stays at a therapeutic level.

Fishkeeprian, thank you  we're all here to help others to make good choices so they succeed with their saltwater tanks.

Tanthaitrung the reason for triple dose is for certain kinds of flukes being resistant to regular doses of Prazipro.

Here is my thread on my thought process to using Prazipro and exactly what I did and where I got the information from to use a triple dose in the first place.

This, this right here! Thank you so much I'm canadian and a TSP is a pretty wide range of meseaurement I do have 1ml syringes I use for feeding though this will help a lot!!! I took the advice and am now dosing 3x the normal dose. And don't have any carbon running what so ever just some mechanical filtration to remove access food. Phoenix (my firefish) is doing great. I will update once he/she is in my DT in a few weeks appreciate all the advice!

Well after a full TTM treatment. 2 treatments of double dose Prazipro. And about 1.5 months of observation it is time! Acclimation has commenced. 1g bucket with crappy air pump and drip line set for 30 min. SG and temperature are good but PH was a bit off from my QT.
