I just bought a brain and i am having trouble feeding it because of the flow in the area it is in. They need more of a flow don't they? Can they eat something bigger than the mysis i am trying to use or can they eat something bigger. would the best way to feed be by putting tupperware over it? Also what are the indicators of health it looks the same as it did when i bought...it seems to be a little bleached out and since i got it its gotten a little bit greener but i can't find any signs on this forum or on the internet of what to look for with health...

If you can post a picture! There are many different types almost all have different feed requirements. But just as a quick note most brain will rotifers, coyclops and what ever smaller food sources there are. typically brain have a harder time with the larger foods. Try Prawn eggs My open brain goes nuts for them.

Take an empty 2 liter bottle and cut the bottom off. Place the bottle over the brain. I use a turkey baster to squirt some frozen brine or mysis shrimp on it. Works like a charm. You might also want to turn your pumps off for a few minutes, around 30 minutes or so.
