Usual behavior???

Just upgraded my light to the 250 MH and I am keeping it
on only for 3 hours in the morning...
All my fish are seeming to hide in the rocks during this time!
Is this normal?

Yes, let them get used to the light. Also try to bring the light gradually if possible (I'm suspecting you still have those PC light in addition to this new 250 MH? If yes, turn the PC first and then 250 shortly after. Even if you don't have anything but 250, they will get used to it.

You can "dim" your new lights by placing fly screen between them and the tank for a while. Three layers of it at first with one layer removed a week is a good plan.
