Hey Roger, I'm sure this is asked every 5 mins to you. I did some searching but figured I'd ask about my setup anyway...

I'm planning a 220 gallon. Primarily FOWLR but may dabble in a few simple softies someday. Definitely not into the full blown reef tank look at all. And dont think i ever will.

I have two 400gph powerheards in my 75g now. Also have a Mag 18 for my return pump.

I've already done enough research to decide on the Tunze Stream.

Based on the above, what would you recommend for my setup?

I would probably just get 2 6080's and run them on timers, alternating them every hour or so with about a 15minute overlap.

cool. so just a regular home timer, not a tunze controller? not needed?

The 6060 and 6080 cannot be controlled, they can only be turned off and on at 1hr intervals.

intersting. the controllers on the other models sound "neat" and like cool gadgets. but i guess i dont need them. my new tank will be all about the "simple" aproach. so thanks for providing honest feedback.

i now know what equipment I'll get in this area. I'll bug you later when I get down to positioning and other details.
