Utility Clams

Does anyone know of a species of clam or oyster or other filter feeder that lives in tropical waters that would thrive in a mud based refugium? I just think it would be interesting to have something like that as part of my CUC in the sump/fuge. Non-photosynthetic and inexpensive are prerequisites.

There are the green mussel that would mostly fit your requirements.

Live Brine Shrimp dot com sells what they call cleaner clams. These might work for you. Gulf Specimen Marine Lab sells several different bivalves, but I think they require a $70 minimum order.
