Hi all-
I'm thinking about adding a UV to my system. I'm getting ready to put my chiller back in-line and was thinking about plumbing it in a closed loop with a UV.
Currently I run a mag9.5 as a return. Last summer, I had the chiller (JBJ 1/4hp) in line and it really dropped my sump turnover. This summer I want to put the chiller on its own pump, but not sure yet how to plumb. I have duel overflows and a 45g sump. the head height will be about 6ft from the chiller and UV. Another option is to plumb it through the sump both drain and return, but I'm worried the temp will be hard to control and I won't get the added flow of a closed loop.
Questions / Advice sought....
1) What UV works best?
2) What is the best way to plumb (can I put the HOB drain into the overflow)?
3) Pump recommendations
3) Plumb only through sump or only through tank in CL.
I'm cheap, so take that into consideration!
