Does anyone here use them on a reef? IVe seen them on FO setups but I was talking to somebody who has one on a reef and swears by it. I have a 30 cube with a Tunze nano skimmer and I was wondering if a sterilizer would take care of occassional minor cyano.
I is supposed to kill free floating algea and parasites. I don't have any scientific evidence that it really helps.
Once thing I do notice on the negative side is that I dose Kalki nto my sump and calcium tends to form deposits on the quartz sleave and needs to be cleaned at least once a month if not more often.
