Is it true that running uv light over new fish in QT before adding to the display would kill all parasites present on them???

I have a 25w UV running on my 30g QT and I still encountered ich breakouts on the new fish.

Stevensun - I don't think that is what he is asking, I took it to say holding a fish under a UV lamp is a way to get rid of parasites. But you could be right too. IMO UV just helps to control, not remove the problem

Holding a fish under a UV light source could lead to skin cancer for you and possibly the same for the fish. If you are looking to quickly remove parasites from a fish, do a 3 minute freshwater dip properly buffered with the same temp.
