Vacation Setup??

Hey Reefers,

I'm new the the hobby. My tank has been up and running for about 3 weeks. I've got the basics setup. With an ATO running off a 35g Rubbermaid bin as a supply. I evaporate between 1-2g a day so at worst case I'm good for 2 weeks with the ATO.

My question is what should I do or what do you all do for feeding when you're away for a couple days / week?

At the moment I only have 2 clowns, a rose BTA and a small zoa frag. I've been feeding my clowns twice a day a mix of brime and mysis shrimp.

I plan I have a 4 day getaway in two weeks and need to plan.

Any thoughts would be good.

Thanks in advance.

You can buy a little automatic feeder that should do it.

The only automatic feeders I've seen at my LFS are for flake foods. Do they exist for frozen? If you obviously thaw out beforehand.

ORder an Ehiem fromBRS or Amazon, my Lfs sucks and I source from everywhere

Two weeks is too long to go without food, it will stress the fish. As posted above get an auto feeder and a feed ring so the food does not get sucked into your overflow box.

If you are only going to be gone for 4 days, with the livestock you have, you would probably be perfectly fine without food, not ideal of course but I don't think it will be a problem, esp if you feed a tad heavier the days leading up to leaving.

If you had tangs, chromis, anthias etc etc it would be a different story, but two clowns will be fine, esp if they are healthy and well established.

Bon voyage!
