vanderbuilt vs acares midget chromis

Anyone on here have any feedback on either one of these? Im debating which one to get from my 34gallon reef (eventually). Anyone know which one is the most peaceful?

I had my LFS (Premium Aquatics) order me 10 Acares damsels from Quality Marine. 7 DOAs, and the other 3 were dead within 24hrs. Don't seem to be very robust fish.

I had a Vanderbilt chromis at one time. I would have bought more than one, as I have read that this species tolerates its own kind in the confines of an aquarium, but only one was available at the time. It was a delicately beautiful small fish; not aggressive at all. I believe it died after a stressful tank move, but my memory is not 100% clear on that, as it was several years ago.
