Varios 2 leaking

Ok so as I do my 230 build. And set up my water station. (Looks really cool) I'll put pics in my build thread. But the pump leaks at the connection of the unions to the pump. Do people glue these when they use them on dry land. And what do you use for that. And I have already cranked it as right as possible. HELP!

Metric thread on the pump?
Waveline had that problem.
Thread sealant rather that tape should be used.

I did try the tape but it didn't work. I may try the thread sealant. Wasn't sure if purple pvc and the pvc cement would work I'll look for thread sealant. I also tried the lubricant used on the other connectors to no avail
