hey guys i got the vdm set up correct...now i can only access 1 lighting assembly of the AI's thought:-( (i have 2) i dont know what seems to be the problem please help me as i want to hook these up !!!!

ive got the vdm with the extension and it wont work for some reason if i plug it into 1 it will only light up the opposite 1. i dont know if i have it daisy chained wrong but it wont work ive tried different set ups and it doesnt seem to work

BluLED_7_5 is refering to outlet 5 right? and WhtLED_7_6 is refering to outlet 6? i have both modules plugged into outlet 6 and 7 on the eb8 and my blue and white profile names are above. i need some help guys thanks in advance.

If the info in post 3 is correct then the problem is that you programmed outlets 5 & 6 but have the AIs plugged into 6 & 7.

You do not access the AI LED panels independently. There are 2 channels; 1 for white and 1 for blues, they control ALL whites and all blues on all panels.

The AI unit should have come with a small cable that connects the out from panel 1 to the in of panel 2 and so forth. The VDM connects to the 1st panel. Independent control is not supported.

programming is as follows:

BluLED_7_5-(7_5)

Fallback OFF
Set OFF
If Time 22:00 to 10:00 Then Moonligh
If Time 10:01 to 12:00 Then BlueRamp
If Time 12:01 to 13:00 Then Morning
If Time 13:01 to 21:00 Then Daylight
If Time 21:01 to 23:00 Then BlueRamp
If Time 23:00 to 23:01 Then RampDown

WhtLED_7_6-(7_6)

Fallback OFF
Set OFF
If Time 22:00 to 10:00 Then Moonligh
If Time 10:01 to 12:00 Then BlueRamp
If Time 12:01 to 13:00 Then Morning
If Time 13:01 to 21:00 Then Daylight
If Time 21:01 to 23:00 Then BlueRamp
If Time 23:00 to 23:01 Then RampDown

i dont want to control them independently. i have the 2 modules strung together with the supplied cord, and then the apex vdm cord plugged into the 1 ending in serial #XXXX25(i cant remember the rest of the top of my head).

if this was the EB8:

1 2 3 4 I have mine plugged into: 1 2 3 4
5 6 7 8 X X 7 8 X= Plugs for AI lights

You don't need to connect the AI into the EB8 unless you want to turn off the AI units when they would be dark but if you do then you want be sure the EB8 is on at all times that the lights are on. I would suggest starting with the AI connected to the wall until you get the programming the way you want and then you can move the power connection.

If you connect the AI power supplies directly to the wall and the control cable to the VDM does it work?

With the new AI units the serial number order doesn't affect operation; which AI unit do you have?

i got the units in october the serial number is air31124 and 25. i guess i dont need to connect them to the eb8. i had them connected to the AI controller so i figured it didnt work. jjust switched it over to the apex cable and its working. id rather keep the outlets freed up if possible so is it ok to just plug them into a powerstrip instead of the eb8 and leave them that way? they seem to be responding to my programming as of now. im very excited. thanks guys for all your support, esp RussM,Kenargo, and aquamedic
