Velvet...after treatment

well I got unlucky and did not QT one of my last fish and it totally wiped out my tank. I now have 2 fish left, 1 blue hippo and 2 purple tangs.

These fish are in a QT tank now and have been since March 1st. I have treated them with Cupramine, Furan 2, conaplex. They show no signs of any infection, they are eating well and seem to be in good overall health.

My questions is, what do I do next?

can i re-introduce them to my DT?
do I need to treat them with anything before I put them back?
im nervous that they are still infected but not showing signs....

Any help would be awesome!

The fallow period for velvet is only 6 weeks, but only if you're certain it was velvet vs ich. Like scooter said though, 90 days would for sure kill all parasites.

I had trouble reading my seachem copper test kit when I dosed furan 2 with cupramine, the yellow water tinted the test kit green. Just make sure you stayed therapeutic for the time needed.

I am well over the recommended 14 days for the copper. im more like 8 weeks now. and I had the same problem with my test kit. the yellow water made it tough to test the copper.

maybe I would be better to run some carbon and get all the meds out of the water and then redoes copper for another 14 days?

If you are sure that it was Amyloodinium you could add a treatment round with Chloroquine Phosphate. That's the most effective treatment against velvet.

In any case you should add an observation period of at least 6 weeks after the copper is removed. If you want to be extra careful make it 2 full months.
