Venturi in Deltec skimmers

Hi
Does anyone know how a venturi in a Deltec AP600 skimmer is constructed. Is it just a hole in the PVC before the inlet of the power head or is it a real venturi?

Does the OR3700 come with a venturi? if so how is it constructed?

More like a hole & not a true venturi. The pipe does narrow, but not by a large margin.

the or 3700's dont come with a venturie. you have to make one. but they are simple to make.

What did you use for the fittings on the output and input on the OR3700 and where did you find them?

they are standard unions cut and glued onto the pumps. do a search hee on r/c for threads i started. one of them is on converting these pumps.
