I don't have enough room for an 8' tank. 6' is pushing it. I'll have windows on either side of the tank and there's an extended countertop on the other side of that.

Found out some good info on the DDs... May have tipped the scales. :)

Ok. What's the good info? I have also been contemplating a 300dd.

I have a marineland 220. it measures 6'x2'x30" tall. I love the tank and I dont think marineland makes "subpar" tanks. Ive noticed way more complaints on here about custom tanks made by other companies other than marineland.

Now that being said if I had to do it over again I might go with a 300DD to have more front to back space as opposed to top to bottom space. My arms arent long enough to reach the bottom of the tank, but then again my arms probably wouldnt be long enough to reach the back of a 300DD either. lolz

I would love that info as well. I'm eyeballing the 300DD. Thanks.

Yeah, I can't reach the back of the 185... :D lol I was reading another thread about someone that put on Scuba Gear everytime he cleaned his 300DD. Made me literally laugh out loud.

The wife is full on board with me buying a 300DD, now I just have to accept that I'm going to be dropping some serious $$$... :eek1:
