Vert Part-Time or Short-Term Summer Jobs

Does anyone know of any decent very part-time (1 - 2 days a week) or short-term summer jobs? Keep in mind I am working on my MS thesis this summer. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know. Anyway to make a few dollars is good by me.

If you are a trained/professional singer, pianist, or other type of musician I can hook you up with some auditions.

Otherwise, try a job as a server. Dinner shifts at high end restaurants can get you $100-200 in about 5 hours. Not the best job in the world, but if you find the right fit, it is a light job with decent pay. I waited tables while getting my bachelors degree.

Start visiting restaurants with min. $20+ entrees and very large wine selections.

Server is off my list of things to do. After my last awful jobs I promised myself I would never go back to working an awful job.

Unfortunately the only training I have is as a writer, and writing jobs are few and far between. I have been trying for the last 6 years to become a professional writer.

I have my undergraduate degree in general biology and my MS is going to be in general biology. However, you could really say I am an entomologist or at least ecologist. And I just realized I put "vert" instead of "very"... Oops.

I know the Cleveland Museum of Natural History is looking for camp counselors for a summer camp but I have no experience working with small children, and that's what the asked for. I do have experience teaching college-level laboratories... which doesn't help.

Best of luck on the job search... hopefully somebody on here will have use for somebody with your qualifications.

With your writing talents, perhaps you could contribute to the C-SEA newsletter :)

FWIW... I gave the bad jobs a boot after my undergrad too!
