Vertex In-80 pump

Is there a way to diagnose if the shaft/impeller is the cause or the pump itself is busted? I hate to spent $30 for a new impeller and come to find out the pump itself is busted....I know the shaft on the impeller is pretty beat up. How can I tell if the pump itself is still good?

Forgotten: the pump is Resun King-590F

Hi,

Do you feel the motorblock coming on at all? The motorblocks are either usually good or bad, no inbetween with them. If the motorblock comes on, then it's an impeller assembly.

I tried it yesterday. When I took the cover and run it..the impeller sort of move and i tried it again, the impeller is jammed. I guess the motorblock is good right?

You got it, motorblock should be just fine, just replace your impeller and you will be good to go!
