So I just purchased a Vertex Omega 130 skimmer and i was wondering if anyone can help me, I believe i mightve gotten an already-broken when new skimmer.
My question is regarding the pump..
1. the plate that holds the impeller in place, doesnt this plate have to be tight?on my pump. i can remove the center plate with minimal force.
2.another thing that is super loose is the pump is the custom volute, is that suppose to be snug as well? when i put the volute on, i turn it to lock it, but it just turns as if there isnt any tension and it'll fall right off the pump, theres 3 flared plates on the outter edge of the pump, i believe thats what should lock the volute in place, mine just slides right over that, and falls right back out..
any help is very much appreciated..
