very cool looking LTA

this LTA came in to my lfs a few hours ago i thought was very colorful. i want him butim not sure about him mixing with my rbta. the store only wants 30 for him. he is laying over right now i asked them to put it on hold for me so i can see if it will get better and root itself somewhere. what do you guys think??
i havent read to much on lta BUT IVE HAD MY RBTA for 8+ months

Im sure it will look much cooler when it gets healthy again. The shipping around messed with him

Color looks sweet, I'd try it. Just make sure you have a good skimmer incase of chemical warfare.

i dont really have a good skimmer but i am prepared to do very large water changes if that happens. im also in the process of setting up a hospital tank for him

Anemone's color become more intense when the contracted. That is a nice green color but when he fully inflates he will look lighter once he recover from shipping stress. Actinic color have a tendency to cause green and yellow to pop.

Still undecided whether I will buy him today or not. I want to make sure I can tend to his needs. Im not sure the difference between their requirements compared to a RBTA

They need a sand bed to live in and not a lot of current. Maybe more light than BTA a bit but not really high light like Magnifica or Gigantea. Over all they are not much harder than BTA. Stable bright reef tank with sand bed should be Ok for them. Like LPS conditions

I have a deep sand bed of 4inches and have a spot picked out for him right next to some rock. I was planning on digging it out a little and placing him in a hole by the rock.

Did you get a chance to look at the base of its foot? Any damage at all in the center? Even a pinhead sized "hole" would be a reason to pass on it.

Would like similar to this --- even smaller will be an issue, IMO/E.

I went in today after work and one of the employees didnt get the memo it was on hold for me and sold it to someone.. they took photos of the anemone when it was opened up completely and it had bright orange spots speckled all across in area around its mouth. its purple and green seemed much brighter. it was beautiful! im so upset i dont think ill ever see one quite like that one again..
