Very odd reply from vendor

I contacted an online vendor to see if they could get me two Ritteri anemones. They respond back that they have a blue and a red carpet anemones. I informed them that I'm not looking for a carpet that I'm looking for a ritteri and they tell me that a ritteri is a type of carpet. What does everyone think? Sounded odd to me.

Typically the 3 nems that would be considered carpets are gig, haddoni, and mertensi.
This is one reason I dislike using the term carpet just like I dislike sebae, all very different animals w/ very different needs falling under the same descriptive umbrella.
I would be a little concerned about ordering from this vendor

Heteractis magnifica is sometimes called "ritteri anemone" because it was previously known under the synonym Radianthus ritteri

Technically the genus Heteractis belongs to the Stichodactylidae family.
The genus Stichodactyla (carpet anemones) contains currently only the following:
  • Stichodactyla gigantea
  • Stichodactyla haddoni
  • Stichodactyla helianthus
  • Stichodactyla mertensii
  • Stichodactyla tapetum
The genus Heteractis contains currently:
  • Heteractis aurora
  • Heteractis crispa
  • Heteractis magnifica
  • Heteractis malu

If you seen his answer afterwards you would laugh. When I told him he was wrong he blamed the distributor. He said that's how they label them. Yeah I doubt I'll be going through them.

I would say this speaks for a disturbing lack of knowledge...
I actually somewhat like if LFS don't know what they have, as it allows you to snatch rare things cheap :D
Though with an online store I would want excellent knowledge, even beyond what you usually find at a good LFS.
