thanks for viewing...

i have had this percula clown for a few years now and i have had a anchor coral that is about 6 months old. when i first got the anchor coral it was normal my clown would swim near it but never really go near it. this continued for about 5 months, until recently the clown now treats it as a anenome. i base this off the fact that i used to have a carpet that the clown use to reside in (but never successfully kept the carpet, this was about a year and a half ago).

in any case the clown now swims ontop and just the anchor coral always being in physical contact with it. when my lights go out and the coral unexpands it sleeps by nesting its body under or between the anchor corals base and the rock it is attached to.

this is so odd, i have never read a book mentioning this behavior. has anyone heard of this or knows what to do? any explanation would be nice, the clown from time to time does the same with my frogspawn as well.

i hope someone has some answers for me.

Thanks.

Before I got an anemone my clowns tried to host my xenia , clams ,powerheads , open brain whatever was near.

mine has an afinity for my tonga branch with about 15 zoos on it... i hope every day he will find my torch coral (the huge thing in the middle that looks like an anemone)

clowns seem to like a lot of lps and some softies, stuff similar to anemones along with other odd objects like heaters, i know the babies are attracted to warmth, maybe the parents are too... just a thought
