very quick question - nanostream 6055 too much flo?

i have a 17gallon tank 24x12x14 (or something like that)

last time around, i kept upgrading one thing at a time... this time i would like to get equipment that will last me a while longer.

the tunze nanostream 6055 on a single controller, 7091, - will i be able to keep it at a low flow, or will the controller pulsate and kick it to 100%? marinedepot says that the stream will go from 264 - 1,453 gallons per hour, which is fine as long as i keep it on the low side.

Yes, you could set it to 12V on the transformer or even 15V and pulse it from 264-600gph or 400-800gph and it should be fine.
