Very skinny picasso trigger

About one week ago I received a very skinny medium sized picasso trigger from an online retailer. Although he has been eating well from day one, it seems like he is not gaining weight. Could this be a sign of an internal parasite or fluke? Should I treat him with something? Thanks.

it could be a sign, but it's really hard to say. any chance you could get a picture of it?

I would look into deworming him. It can't hurt even if he doesn't have any. A picasso should be a very thick fish.

I'll try to post a picture, but essentially he is drawn in all over and you can see the outline of his skeleton under his skin.

What would be the best way to deworm him? Thanks.
