My byno goby has halved in size recently. It looks like a pow
I qt'd it for 3weeks after an initial 2week tank transfer method treatment against ich. It has been in dt for a further 4weeks minimum. It was eating fine and still appears to be eating. It looked perfectly healthy then all of a sudden a week ago I noticed it looked awful.
It frequently filters sand through gills (although it won't be getting any food) and occasionally picks at rock. Eats flakes and frozen mysis or 'marine feast'.
Could it be as simple as it's not getting enough food? Does anyone know what diet is best for byno gobies? I know in wild they eat food filtered from substrate but I thought mysis etc would be fine.
Or could this be something like a parasite? Nothing else to mention other than a lot of weight loss. I tried getting picture but it doesn't do it justice.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
