Hi Roger

A piece of advice please - THE driver (7240.25) is running very warm (its powers the motor of a big skimmer. IS this antthing to be concerned about?

Many thanks

Simon

I would try cleaning the pump. As the pump gets dirty the watt draw goes up and the driver runs hotter.

It depends, how hot is it? It is normal for it to be warm, but it shouldn't be so hot you can't touch it. The top is the hottest because it has a bank of transistors on a heat sink.

THe top is the hottest infact after 5 seconds I have to take my fingers off - is it a fire hazard? Do I need to have it replaced?

Thanks again for your help

Simon

It takes a lot of heat to start a fire. I honestly couldn't say, if it concerns you I think it would be worth having someone look at it.
