Vho Plans?!

So im planing on running six 72" vhos on my 125.

My first questions is this too much light?(960 watts i believe)

Next i was wodering for the splash shield should i use acrylic or glass?

And finally I was planning on cutting out the middle pieces on the top of my tank. Isthis a bad idea?
