VHO supplementation

I just got an IceCap 440 VHO setup to replace my PC's. What bulb is everyone using, and where's the best place to get them?

URI super actinic is the way to go. i am actually goin to be ordering a set soon if you want in.

I run URI superactinics on Ice Cap 440 ballast as well. I couldn't be happier. I purchased mine from Premium Aquatics. Which halide lamps will you be using with the VHO?

I just changed for Hamilton 14K's to XM 10K's... I like them but really miss my blue. Hopefully the VHO's should remedy that. Vince, let me know when you're ordering and Ill be in for a pair of bulbs.

IMO 10k halides pluis vho is an unbeatable combination. With the two, you will get a crisp ice white with the actinics making the colors pop in your fish and corals but in a realistic manner. Plus you will get a big boost in PAR with the 10ks that will greatly benefit sps growth. I have tried just about every kelvin rated halide bulb out there and am now stuck on 10k plus vho.
