Video of Pulsing Sinularia

It's been impossible to find a good video on a pulsing sinularia so I got a frag from a fellow reefer and after letting if grow for a little while made a video myself. I haven't been able to catch it in full crazy pulse mode, but I think I captured some good behaviors.

This was taken with a $180 aiptek GVS HD camera. It's amazing quality for a cheap price.

Great video. I have a small pulsing sinularia, and I've seen the kind of behavior you captured in the first half of the video. I haven't noticed the behavior shown near the end of the video, and I've never seen anything I would call "full crazy mode".

Thanks for posting this video of a lesser-known pulsing coral.

The true fact is that they do not truly pulse but react to what is happening in there enviorment and appears to be pulsing

So the pulsing of individual polyps isn't the polyps feeding? The full pulsing definitely happens upon some sort of outside environmental thing, but I see individual polyps pulsing all the time and I figured that was the polyps feeding.

Yeah I've got one of those too. :)

Sweet softie. In order to see that kind of behavior it needs to be in an area of very low flow.
