I put in 40 ML of white vinegar (aprox. 115g system) every day or so - Is that OK?

I use vinegar so I can dose more kalk with my ATO
I loose about 1 gal daily to evaporation.
I was mixing 45 ml vinegar / gallon and the water got cloudy.
I dosed this amount on a smaller tank and had no noticeable changes, but for some reason after my recent tank upgrade it started. I cut back on the vinegar and the water has cleared up. I've started creeping back up to that level and the cloudiness is coming back. Maybe I am loosing more to evap than I think I am.

I dosed vinegar at about the same rate you are dosing and it did reduce nitrate levels for me. For you, it could be different. If your nitrate levels have been dropping and you are not getting bacterial blooms, then I would continue at that dose. Once your nitrate hits zero with hobby grade nitrate kits, you may find you need to cut back on the dosage and adjust it to keep your nitrate level where you want it.
If you are using kalk water, this amount of vinegar in kalk water will increase your out put of alk and calcium.
