Vinly background inside reef tank

Greetings!

I am wondering if we are safe to use vinyl background. I've got it from petstore has black and blue each side. The reason I want to put it inside the tank because my mini sump is on the back of my tank so I cannot put it outside the tank so may choice is to put it inside the tank... If so what adhesive should I use? Thanks

I see.. I am also thinking of using acrylic sheet, is it much safer?. No, I cannot paint it as as back of the glass is where my sump located.

Will not work on the inside of the tank. you will get water trapped between the background and the tank wall.

is your sump somehow glued to the back of your tank or incorporated to the back of the tank? i don't see why you can't put it on the back of the tank unless your sump is part of the back of the tank…is it an "all in one" tank?

if that is the case then i would get a black or blue acrylic sheet and silicone it very well in place. you don't want water to get behind it...

Yes your right... It's all in one. Thank you for the suggestion. I will try to find acrylic sheet here.. Would it be an issue if water gets behind? I would like to glue it in the upper part only because the system is already running. If the water gets behind would it be good for the pods to live?
