Visit to the ER..."ON Topic"

Good man! He's doing the right thing! You can mess around with a lot of things, but your health is REALLY, the only thing you've got.

justin doesn't like what's going on with him and is returning to the hospital....said that he is getting pins and needles and that he is having tenderness in his armpit....i'll keep you all posted as i find out what's going on.

urmc?

ha, they told me I'd have to go to the OR and have it opened... They ended up opening it in my room. Make sure to give the anesthesia plenty of time to take effect. It's not fun.

He is on 2 different antibiotics trying to rule out vibrio and staff ect. Right from his bandaged hand to my BlackBerry. Between myself and John (Firedog) we will keep you all posted. I can see a run on gloves at the stores now!!!

holy crap! hope you are doing alright Justin! Best of luck to you man.

Hind sight is 20/20, and I don't know what it looked like yesterday. BUT, based on the history, and if it was bad enough to get him to go to the ER, AND to start him on antibiotics, they should have at the least started him on IV from the get go.

ER's love to tell people they're going to the OR, when in reality they have no earthly idea of what's going on. They should have, again, depending on what it looked like, also done a bedside debridement. But I'm sure they blew it off, leading to the fix he's in at the moment. Then they terrify you by telling you, you need surgery, instead of a simple bedside wash out.

I hate ER's.

Best of Luck

Good luck and get well soon. Looks like it's time for me to go buy some gloves. I have hads a number of little cuts while working in the tank and never gave it a thought. Thanks for the heads up. Mark

As of this morning it looks like Justin will be spending another day in the hospital to monitor it. He did see the Ortho Dr. and he seems to think there is no tendon damage. Will post when I know more.

Visited Justin this morning, he is doing well, spirits are good. He really like the Hospital food :). I took him a package of rubber gloves, he didn't see the humer, but I did. All is well, hopefully he will be coming home tomorrow

Wow started reading this and I want to wash my hands and buy some good gloves. I hope you are feeling better. Thanks for teaching me a lesson on this one.

Thanks for all the well wishes folks...hoping to be discharged in the next hour or two...been a riot!!! :)
