Visiting Bay Area in June from IL

I will be in Mountain View from June 8-12. Can someone please tell me if there's any good LFS closeby that I can check out or shouldn't miss?

Also, I would like to go for a whale watching trip, probably at Monterey Bay...which one do you suggest?

If you are interested in Whale Watching check out the Stagneros Fleet out of Santa Cruz. They have trips every week I think.

Aquatic concept in Hayward is also a decent place.
