Hi guys! I know you're based a little farther north but figure you'd know better than me. My name is Joe and I'm a reefer from Ohio that will be roadtripping south at the end of April and we'll be stopping in Charleston for a day or so to hang out and see some sights. I was there once probably 4 yrs ago but just hung out around the market area and didn't do much other than bar hop and eat. We thinking of doing a Pub Tour but other than that I'm not sure if there's anywhere that's a must see. Any suggestions and opinions are welcome and appreciated. I enjoy historical locations so that would be fine. Restaurants suggestions would be great too. Basically any suggestions would be awesome. Thanks!

Tons of history in Charlestion.
Check out the Battery of Course, the Old Exhcange Building/Provost Dungeon, The Old Slave Market, USS Yorktown.

The Angel Oak is a little bit outside of Charleston... its basically a huge oak thats extremely old. Boone Hall is also down the road, which is still a working plantation.. Lots of other stuff to. Pretty much all these things you can find on google, couple fish stores on the outskirts as well... hope this helps.

Awesome. I appreciate the help. Looking online you find all sorts of random stuff so narrowing done specifics is great.

There's also tons of pirate history around the area also. Graves of various pirates. Not to mention confederate soldiers and a vice president of the US, along with various signers of the constitution and declaration of independence.
