My Vlamingi Tang is eating well but has some raised bumps on his head, trying to figure if should pull him out and treat or what he has? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Scott

Well, since nobody has answered yet, I'll chime in: it looks like Lymphocystis to me, but it is a bit atypical-looking, and tangs are not usually susceptible to it....
If it is Lymphocystis, do not try a treatment, it will only make things worse. It almost always goes away on its own....

Our tang had something that look similar right after we added him to our main tank. We thought it looked a little like cauliflower right over his eye. We left it alone and within a couple of weeks it cleared up on its own. It did leave a scar though. We came to the conclusion that it was probably stress induced being it showed up so soon after we had gotten him.

Wow, not sure what that is but it looks nasty. Maybe it has something to do with the footprint on his side in the first pic. ;) This isn't in a 50 gallon corner right?

No he is in a 100 gallon system with a 180 on order from AGE in Texas, it does not seem to bother him much and does not seem to be getting worse. I have 4 tanks and just bought another one today for my Ten year old son. I need to go to an AA meeting (Aquarium Anonymous) and I guess I should figure out how to update the tag lines under my signature? He does wait in line for the cleaner shrimp to play with it though, kind of amazing watching the fish get in line to be picked at by two shrimp who hang out on my Setosa Colony at night and pull the late shift. Thank you for any advice he is a cool fish.
