Have a pair of Tunze 6101's Been trying to figure out where voltrage reading is coming from Never even suspecting my Tunze's finnally after hours of testing I go ahead and unplug them and shazzam 28.6 volts disapear from my meter measuring my tank water ... is this common or do I have a bad pump they are only 4 months old bought in late december .......???

Also On another note I also have a pair of the 6200.50 magnet holders I spent the extra cash to get the best possable holder and am extreamly disapointed in them I have broken two of them already just beacause the powerheads deflect over 3/4 of an inch everytime they come on and keeps breaking ther small retaining clips on the slide mount So inturn I come home to a powerhead spinning around in my tank fragging SPS like a caveman with a club !!

After spending over 800.00 dollars on two powerhead I find this quite disturbing ..............

It is uncommon but apparently you have a faulty pump, if you send it in I will replace it. I am not clear on what broke on the magnet holders? Was it the magnet holder itself or the 6200.23 sliding piece with hinge? There should not be so much deflection, I would assume something must be wrong with the parts or how they are assembled.

Thanks Roger. Were could I find where to send the pumps? Also the part on the holder breaking is on the magnet holder itself its one of the tabs that the slider with the hinge slides into they keepbreaking from the deflection of the pumps. As far as I can se they are asembled corectly as there are no other parts leftover?

Thabks Sean

It sounds like the mag holders you have, have a defect, they should not break, I have seen this before but it is rare. Send the pump and magnet holder to:

Tunze USA
305 Victor St
Austin TX 78753

Include a return address and phone number and note about the problem in the box.

Thanks again Roger. I will send them in as soon as I find something to move my tank in the meantime. What kind of turnaround could I be looking at? Thanks Sean

Ohio is 3-4 days by UPS ground, we typically complete a repair/replacement within 24hrs.

well Roger Looks like I might be sending them earlier than I thought came home to another power head swinging around my tank again today .......... and I cant turn my maganets around and use the other side now ..both side broke ... can I send you one at a time ? SO I still have some Flow in my tank Its Sps Dominated tank And would really hate to do anymore damage than has already been done My table took quiter a beating from the powerhead today its not much more than a frag on a rock now ....Let me know if I can exchange these one at a time ..

Sorry for the rant ... I am really bummed

thanks Sean

Absolutely, send the pump in, include a note with a phone number and I will take care of it.

I promise I will make it a fair exchange, send the pump with its magnet holder and it will be worthwhile, I will include a present, just print your posts and add them to the box so I know what is going on.
