Volunteers for monthly meetings?

As the subject says, we are looking for people that would be willing to host the monthly meetings for this upcoming year. I would like to start a list similar to those we create for group orders. If you are interested in hosting, please put down what month you would like to host.

Example:

Bob Tang - January
Blenny Gillson - February
etc.

Please copy and paste just the months from the previous persons post so your post will be a complete and concise list at the time of your posting. (I think that makes sense )


Also, please take a couple minutes to think about any activities or events you all would like to do this year. No need to post about them at this time, as I will be creating a separate thread in the coming days. Just want to get some of those creative juices flowing so we can plan an exciting and fun-filled year for CDMAS!

Hello, Ryan Stewart here. I would love to host a meeting. My house is not the best spot, but I would love to do it @ our store. After hours so theres noone there but us reef geeks!! I have tons of frags and med size corals. I also would love to do some frag swap/shops as well. Theres a real nice Acro. that I have been growing out and would like to give the frags to the club. Sundays the store closes @ 2:00pm, then it would be all ours. Let me know what you think.

Would be interestedin hosting a month, but only Sunday would be avaible for me, if thats possible ????? I live in the Ballston Spa area, would that be too far for some of our reef going friends ???

I dont think I'm ready to host a meeting yet, But I would defiently like to go over to Monti-Mike's again, his tank is nice and his equipment in the basement looks like something you'd see at a commerical aquarium (VERY cool)

That is true. Well, we are offering to do a joint meeting here again if you decide on one. There are so many members that probably want to host a meeting let them have dibs...just wanted to offer this idea up.

Thanks everyone for the interest. At this point, we have the WHOLE year open and available. If a certain month looks good for you, go ahead and put it down. Of course it's not set in stone, so if something comes up I'm sure someone else can fill in. So for now it looks like we have:

Ken - I am willing to host any month in my reefless house. But actually got a great idea from another club. How about a reef crawl. We load into cars and briefly visit a bunch of reefs in succession then wind up somewhere for a bunch of beer and compare/contrast reef talk. I will volunteer to be the house we wind up at. (btw - i quit smoking 10 tortuous weeks ago - only my fish are happier for it)

I'm bascially interested in doing something in the summer. Either a meeting or a Lobster bake on the boat. As far off as it is I'm not set on picking a month. I do prefer June or July just a matter of preference. I plan on moving closer to work soon so that is another factor. See how the reef takes it and what its future holds.

Lou- the shop was perfect for the workshop, and I would love to do it again! Can we do it closer to spring thouigh when it isn't so cold? I'm sure some of the frags would have faired better if it had been warmer. I'm sure we can get Justin Credibel over here to give a talk and do some fragin! We should definately invite HVAC
