Voracious predator for fowlr

I am looking for a super aggressive feeder with a voracious appetite for my fowlr aquarium. I was thinking a 6 line soap fish but I could do without the toxins he releases when stressed. Suggestions?

You could get by with one of the smaller groupers, like a miniatus. I dont really recommend them for that small of a tank, but with the right rockwork (they basically just hide in a cave a lot) you would be able to get away with it.

Nothing out there eats more than a grouper.

the miniatus might take out the clown, but doubt its eating a 2' eel. As for voracious predators, I always liked dogface puffers, very active and outgoing.

Will it eat sea stars?

No. Hermits, snails, and starfish will be fine. Good chance shrimp will be too as long as they were there first.

I'd go with a blueline over a miniatus though. Don't get quite as large and territorial, plus its my favorite regularly available grouper.

So a dogface puffer wouldn't eat sea stars? I don't want a bluelined grouper because it is really aggressive, someone had one that killed triggerfish.
