Vortech Battery Backup and WXM

I am a bit confused if/how the vortech battery backup works on my system now that I have a WXM unit.

Without the WXM, anytime I had to service my MP40's I would have to unplug the wireless driver and unplug the driver from the battery backup. If I didn't disconnect the battery backup, it would kick on and spin my vortech....

Now when I service my vortechs I turn the outlets OFF using the web interface on the apex. It turns my vortechs completely off and the battery backup does not kick on......

So now I am wondering if my battery backup is not being recognized or will not kick on in an emergency.

I am trying to think of a way to troubleshoot this issue. I want to create emergency situations such as power outage, apex failure, loss of communication between the wxm and the apex or the wxm and the vortech drivers.

Just wanted to run this before the board to get a general opinion on how to proceed. Obviously I know how to cut power and I can disconnect the wxm aquabus cable....however I feel like I might not be creating an emergency situation using these methods....perhaps I am. That is why I am bringing the issue here.....your thoughts on how I can guarantee my battery backup will kick on in an emergency is appreciated. Thanks!

Which outlet are you turning off?

The EB8 outlet or the WXM's virtual vortech outlet?

Do you have a Fallback state defined in the virtual vortech outlet?

You are probably turning off the virtual outlets. That's what you want to do. Try turning off (or unplugging if they're not in an EB8) the physical outlets that your drivers plug in to. That should activate your battery backup.
