vortech for tunze wavebox

I just picked up a Tunze wavebox at Ocean Blue/ Aquaria Studio. To my knowledge they are the only LFS here that carries Tunze in stock. Vinh can get you one if you can't find someone to trade. Have you seen the video from TUNZE? In case you didn't know you still need powerheads in the tank for flow even with the wavebox.

Pacific.....thanks for the info....Im hoping to not have to shell out anything else. Im just sooo disappointed in vortech. Vortech is the lebron james of the fish world.....everyone is vortech blah blah blah. it makes way to much noise for what I want.

You'll have to come by after I get the wavebox installed in a week or so..I am waiting for the large magnets that I ordered. I hear the wavebox makes noise and my 6105 is noisy too when it's cranked up all the way.

My buddy just hooked up a vortech not too long ago and it's pretty quiet. He doesn't crank it all the way though. I don't know many people with the wavebox but I see people selling them in the used equipment section. Maybe you can sell the vortech and snag a used wavebox.

Mine purr. Votechs are sick IMO. I would never go back to other powerheads. If yours is loud you can send it back and they will send you a new one. There is a break in period and can be loud for the 1st couple days which this is stated in the maul if you read that. It also says to contact them if the noise does not go away for a new dry side.

maybe my house is just too quiet. The Browns- its not my wetside thats loud, its the outside that sounds like its making more noise.

Mines quiet, I did have to play with it to make sure it's aligned perfectly and make sure my spacers are set correctly.

the noise im hearing is the standard noise. had the tech at vortech listen to it. my house is too quiet I guess. still looking to trade it.
